Ricky Fataar

ricky

(born September 5, 1952) is a South African multi-instrumentalist of Malay descent, who has performed as both a drummer, and a guitarist. He gained fame as an actor in the comedic television movie, All You Need Is Cash, a spoof on the actual history of The Beatles, and for his performance as a member of The Beach Boys. Fataar may also be recognized for his contributions as a record producer, and has worked on projects scoring music to film and television.

Music career

The Flames

Fataar's first childhood band was The Flames, a band from his birthplace of Duban, South Africa that began in 1963. He joined the band at the age of nine. The band made several recordings as well as touring all over Southern Africa and before long they became quite popular in South Africa. By the time he was twelve years old he had already won the honour of being voted as the "Best Rock Drummer in South Africa."

In 1968 the band moved to London and began touring in the United Kingdom. On one of their tours, they were spotted by a member of The Beach Boys, Carl Wilson. He was impressed by their talent and offered to sign them to the Beach Boys new record label, Brother Records. The band moved to Los Angeles, and they recorded and released their 1970 album The Flame with Carl Wilson producing the album.

Beach Boys

The Flames dissolved in late 1970. Fataar and his fellow former Flame bandmate Blondie Chaplin were recruited by the Beach Boys, in 1971. Fataar was asked to play drums for the band after drummer Dennis Wilson suffered a debilitating hand accident. The duo recorded two albums with the Beach Boys, and began touring with them in 1970. The 1972 Beach Boys album Carl and the Passions - "So Tough" featured musical and vocal contributions from Chaplin and Fataar. It also included two songs written by the duo, "Here She Comes" and "Hold On Dear Brother". On the band's next album, Holland, released a year later, both musicians recorded, and provided backing vocals, including the hit single "Sail On, Sailor", on which Chaplin sang as lead vocalist. They additionally collaborated with Carl Wilson and Mike Love on the song "Leaving This Town". 1973 saw the first live album The Beach Boys in Concert, upon which Fataar performed. It featured a live version of the previously unreleased Chaplin/Fataar/Love collaboration "We Got Love", which was originally intended to be released on the Holland album, but was considered too weak a song to be included at that time.

Rutles

In 1978, Fataar starred in All You Need Is Cash, a mockumentary film known more commonly as "The Rutles", a spoof on the real life history of The Beatles, which had a follow up to a Saturday Night Live television sketch, which is a popular comedy show in the United States. His character was Stig O'Hara, the band's guitarist, (analogous to George Harrison). He has no speaking part in the film, and indeed he is sent up as "the quiet one" in it.

Blondie Chaplin

blondie

Terence William 'Blondie' Chaplin (born 7 July 1951 a musician from Durban, South Africa who first became known to international audiences through his brief stint in the early 1970s as a singer and guitarist for The Beach Boys. Chaplin was also listed as a co-producer, sang lead vocals with fellow South African musician Ricky Fataar (drummer) and composed, with Fataar, "Here She Comes" and "Hold On Dear Brother" on the twenty-third official Beach Boys album, Carl and the Passions - "So Tough", released in 1972. He is well known in recent years as a long term backing vocalist and acoustic rhythm guitarist for the Rolling Stones.

Blondie Chaplin, along with drummer Ricky Fataar, joined the Beach Boys when original drummer Dennis Wilson suffered a hand injury which left him unable to play the drums for almost two years. For the Beach Boys, it was a period in which long-time member Bruce Johnston had departed the band, and one-time leader Brian Wilson's participation in the group was very limited. As a result, Chaplin and Fataar joined the Beach Boys as full-fledged members and not merely as backing musicians. Chaplin left the group in 1973 after a dispute with the Beach Boys' management; Fataar remained with the band until the following year.

Both Chaplin and Fataar were members of South African rock band The Flame before joining The Beach Boys. The Flame were discovered by Beach Boy Carl Wilson while performing in London. Wilson signed the band to the Beach Boys' Brother Records label and produced their self-titled album which featured soulful rock/pop songs in the vein of The Beach Boys and Badfinger. The Flame were the only band aside from The Beach Boys to record for Brother Records.

Chaplin sang lead on at least three Beach Boys songs, "Sail On, Sailor," "Leaving This Town" and "Funky Pretty" (all from the 1973 album Holland). During the late 1980s Chaplin toured with The Band, replacing some of Richard Manuel's vocals and playing guitar. Chaplin was also a featured player in former Byrds members Gene Clark and Michael Clarke's new band, titled "The 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Byrds". Chaplin then appeared on the Jennifer Warnes albums The Hunter and The Well. Since the late 1990s and the Bridges to Babylon Tour, Chaplin has been a backing vocalist and occasional guitar player for The Rolling Stones.

Chaplin has released three solo albums, most recently Between Us in 2006.

Carli Munoz

carli

Carlos C. Muñoz, better known as Carli Munoz or Carli Muñoz (born October 16, 1948), is a self-taught American jazz pianist.

Although born and raised in Puerto Rico, his music of choice was jazz, European avant-garde and American pop music. Among his early influences were ragtime, early American ballads, boogie woogie and classical music, especially that of Erik Satie and Edgard Varèse.

By the early 1960s, Muñoz had begun to appear at New York City nightspots, playing alongside such jazz veterans as bassist Freddy Thomas, Cuban percussionist Sabú Martinez, drummers Monchito Muñoz and Joe Morello (also a regular with the Dave Brubeck Quartet), and late legendary Puerto Rican trumpet player Juancito Torres. From 1965 to 1968, Muñoz led a rock band with Jorge Calderón called The Living End, aka Space (jazz-rock band) Space; they were the house band at Scott Muni´s Rolling Stone and released a single album, Space (jazz-rock album)Space (Capitol Records).

In 1969 Muñoz moved to Los Angeles, where he worked with Wilson Pickett, The Beach Boys (1969 to 1981), George Benson, Les McCann, Wayne Henderson, Chico Hamilton, Charles Lloyd, Peter Cetera, Jan and Dean, The Association, Blondie Chaplin, Henry Gross, and Evie Sands.

During the 1970s, between tours with The Beach Boys, Muñoz led an experimental fusion group called Your Own Space and hosted after-hours free jazz sessions at his home studio in Mt. Washington. Your Own Space performed frequently at L.A. underground jazz spots and included among its members Duke Mc Vinnie (bass), Art Rodriguez (drums), Chris Pinnick (guitar), Michael Turre (horns and flute), Bob Williams (trumpet), "Nasty" Latimer (percussion), and Muñoz on Fender Rhodes piano. He also produced and wrote several songs recorded by Beach Boy Dennis Wilson for his second solo album, "Bambu". One of these, "All Alone," finally saw official release in 1998 on the soundtrack to the documentary Endless Harmony and "Bambu" is finally released in June 2008 with four of Carli's songs, "Under the moonlight", "It's not too late", "Constant Companion" and "All Alone".

In 1985 Muñoz returned to Puerto Rico, where he opened a restaurant at which he continues to perform. He often returns to the mainland to perform and record.

Recent CDs include Love Tales (piano solo); Both Sides Now, with bassist Eddie Gomez, drummer Joe Chambers and flautist Jeremy Steig; Live at Carli's Vol. 1 and Vol 2, the first and second of a live series recorded at Carli Cafe Concierto; and Maverick, with Eddie Gomez on bass, Jack DeJohnette on drums, Don Byron on clarinet and David Sánchez on tenor saxophone.

Adrian Baker

Adrian Baker

Baker made his debut as a singer on Magnet Records/Epic Recods in the United Kingdom. In 1975, he released his first solo album, Into a Dream (MAG 5009). From that album, he had several hits on the United Kingdom's UK Music Week chart and performed several times on the BBC Television's Top of the Pops progamme. As a record producer, Baker is known across Europe for his dance hit productions with the group Liquid Gold.

He twice attempted to write the UK's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, reaching the A Song For Europe final in both 1979 and 1981. His first finalist song, "Miss Caroline Newley", performed by the band M Squad finished eleventh of the twelve songs in 1979. But in 1981, his song "Don't Panic", performed by Liquid Gold, finished in second place and had the rare distinction of being a losing song from the A Song For Europe contest to make the UK Singles Chart, reaching Number 42.

In the United States, he is best known for being the falsetto voice for the touring Beach Boys band from 1981-1982, 1988-1993, and 1998-2004. Baker was also a member of The Four Seasons with Frankie Valli from 1994-1995. In 2006, Baker released his sixth solo album, Runaway Tracks. He is currently touring with the band Papa Doo Run Run.

Glen Campbell

103102-004-a099edc81950s–early 1960s: session musician and the Beach BoysCampbell, one of twelve children born to a sharecropper father with Scottish ancestors right outside the tiny community of Delight in Pike County, Arkansas, in a town called Billstown, then a community of fewer than one hundred residents, started playing guitar as a youth without learning to read music. He credits his Uncle Boo for teaching him the guitar. Though it is widely reported that Glen is a seventh son of a seventh son, that information is not true. Campbell said that at the age of one and a half he almost drowned but was revived.By the time he was eighteen, he was touring the South as part of the Western Wranglers. In 1958, he moved to Los Angeles to become a session musician. He was part of the 1959 line-up of the group the Champs, famous for their instrumental "Tequila".Campbell was in great demand as a session musician in the 1960s. He was part of the famous studio musicians clique known as "the Wrecking Crew", many of whom went from session to session together as the same group. In addition to Campbell, Hal Blaine on drums, Tommy Tedesco on guitar, Leon Russell on piano, Carol Kaye on bass guitar, Al Casey on guitar were part of this elite group of session musicians that defined many pop and rock recordings of the era. They were also heard on Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" recordings in the early 1960s.He was a touring member of the Beach Boys, filling in for Brian Wilson in 1964 and 1965. He played guitar on the group's Pet Sounds album, among other recordings. On tour, he played bass guitar and sang falsetto harmonies. He can be seen briefly in the 1965 film Baby the Rain Must Fall, playing guitar in support of Steve McQueen.Campbell was also the uncredited lead vocalist on "My World Fell Down" by the psychedelic rock act Sagittarius, which became a minor hit in 1967.

Bobby Figueroa

(Born Oct 1, 1949) Bobby Figueroa’s musical days began at Glendora High in the high school band which he chose over a promising baseball career. One of Bobby's earliest memories is of watching his 3 older sisters practicing in the living room to fill in for the ill Ikettes for a local show where they backed up Ike and Tina Turner one night. "I was really excited to watch them get all the moves down and vocals just right. We were and still are a very musical family" Bobby started in rock and roll when he was in High School in the mid 60's, “I was in many bands before I was lucky enough to join the Beach Boys. They had names like…”World War Three,” “Prussian Blue,” “The Work Horse” and “Poverty Train.” When I was a junior in High School I was already playing in Hollywood at a club called, “Pandora’s Box” with “The World War Three. There is even a photo from 'Life' magazine of me and some of the band taken on the strip from back in 1967."

Bobby got his break with the Beach Boys in 1974 ironically when his former band mate from Poverty Train, Carli Munoz suggested he interview with the band to back up Dennis Wilson. Bobby soon not only played back up but performed on percussion, drums and vocals, and stayed all the way through until 1988. Bobby performed on the Beach Boys “LA Light Album”, Dennis Wilson’s “Bamboo” and “Pacific Ocean Blue” albums.
He was live on stage with the Beach Boys for some of their most memorable concerts ever including The fourth of July concerts on the Mall, Live Aid, Farm Aid and many others!
Bobby’s talents weren’t strictly relegated to live performing and studio work. He was asked to be the band leader for the highly acclaimed “Larry Sanders Show” starring Gary Shandling. For five years Bobby could be seen every week on the top rated show as well as appearances on “Just Shoot Me” and “General Hospital”. Currently Bobby is working with Ricci Martin and his “An Evening of Dean Martin Music and More” and Al Jardine’s Endless Summer Band as well as his own group Corazon Pacifico.

Bobby has also been working hard on his ‘baby’ “Canciones de Verano” which in Spanish is “Songs of Summer”. He’s taken some of the Beach Boys most beloved hits and given them his own flair with spanish vocals. I am working on a Beach Boys en Espanol album. In fact, I’ve been working on it for a very long time. What I can tell you now about it is that it’s been a long time coming and I’m very excited about producing my first album entitled, “Canciones De Verano (Songs of Summer).” It’s wonderful to be surrounded by some great talent once again. Some old friends and some new on both sides of the glass. It will be filled with Brian Wilson classics. Some with Latin rhythms, but always true to chord and harmony structure ala the master.

Ed Carter

In the early '60s, there was a surf and rhythm and blues band known as The Shufflers on the southern California scene which featured a rhythm section as crisp as the cusp of a wave caught at sunrise. The versatile Bruce Johnston played keyboards as well as guitar in the band, a fellow named Ed Carter handled both bass and guitar and the young Mike Kowalski sat at the drums, although he could actually play every instrument on the bandstand. In 1965, Johnston was hired by the The Beach Boys, at that point developing into one of the top touring and recording acts on the rock circuit, to replace resident genius Brian Wilson, who was beginning to freak out on tour. Three years later, Carter and Kowalski also became part of Beach Boys backing band, meaning they were now card-carrying members of a sun-speckled, surf-splashed session musician clique that also included players such as Daryl Dragon and John Cowsill. Whether this also meant they were surfboard carrying people is another question, as the actual surfing ability of musicians associated with this type of music was usually kept secret, in case one of them actually was inept. Many of these players later formed an aggregation known as the The Legendary Masked Surfers.

The music of the Beach Boys evolved from white-washed Chuck Berry influences to some of the most complex pop music created, and the skills of players such as Carter cannot be considered irrelevant to this development. His own work on various recording sessions, beginning in earnest around the time he joined the Beach Boys, reveals a wide range of musical interests and talents. He was part of the subtle, understated rhythm section on several Nick Drake recording sessions, got involved with the Beachboys' Mike Love in some unusual, if strained, collaborations with progressive jazz saxophonist and bandleader Charles Lloyd, helped make the debut solo effort of Cass Elliot instrumentally robust and pitched in on solo efforts from various Beachboys. These include the Dennis Wilson Pacific Ocean Blue album and a live recording with Al Jardine. Besides continuing to work with the Beachboys in the '90s and beyond, Carter continues to get studio calls from leaders based in Los Angeles such as trumpeter and composer Mark Isham. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide

Robert Kenyatta

Robert Kenyatta started out by playing on his mother's oatmeal boxes and then graduated to pots and pans. Even then he noticed that each pot had its own sound, its own voice. Mr. Kenyatta bought his first "real" drum at age 12 with money he earned taking used bottles to the store. He continued to learn by listening to Latino and jazz stations on the radio and sitting in with different bands. For about six years, he worked with dancer Arthur Hall. At one point, Mr. Kenyatta put down the drum and played the pennywhistle, eventually receiving a grant from Model Cities to study the flute, harmony, and theory at the Philadelphia Music Academy. He also became a studio musician, working with musicians Wilson Pickett, the Intruders, the Stylistics, and the O'Jays. Later, Ti Ro Ro, a Haitian drummer, sparked Mr. Kenyatta's interest in Haitian drum.

Mr. Kenyatta has been drumming and studying the percussion traditions of the African Diaspora for close to 57 years. He performed at the Festival of American Folklife and in the Montrose Pop Festival in Switzerland, traveled with Wilson Pickett to Rio de Janeiro, London, and Germany, toured with the Beach Boys, performed with Sonny Rollins in Japan, and played on the Black Star ship out of Ghana, West Africa, and numerous venues across the United States.

For the last 12 years, Mr. Kenyatta has been a drummer for Le Peristyle Haitian Sanctuary in Philadelphia. There, he is the "kale papa," or house papa, who takes care of any problems that come up. Drumming is central to all ceremonies in Haitian traditions and Mr. Kenyatta is responsible for the drums and all of the music that is part of ceremonial and spiritual practice at Le Peristyle. He drums for service every Sunday and for special services that can last all weekend. The music is an intersection of Hispanic, African, and African American cultures. The church, located in the Olney section of Philadelphia, draws its congregation from Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Haiti. Mr. Kenyatta has participated in PFP's arts in education programs and in "Philly Dance Africa."

Charles Lloyd

Lloyd was born in Memphis, Tennessee. From an early age, he was immersed in that city's rich musical life and was exposed to jazz. He began playing the saxophone at the age of 9 and took lessons from pianist Phineas Newborn. One of his closest friends was trumpeter Booker Little. Lloyd became a sideman in the blues bands of B. B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Bobby "Blue" Bland and others. In 1956 Lloyd moved to Los Angeles and earned a music degree from the University of Southern California. During this period Lloyd played in the big band of Gerald Wilson. From 1960 to 1963 Lloyd played in the band of drummer Chico Hamilton and became its musical director. Though the band was known for playing "chamber jazz" at the beginning of Lloyd's tenure, his influence as a composer and a player quickly pushed it in a more progressive post-bop direction. Lloyd's key musical partner in the band was the guitarist Gábor Szabó. In 1964 Lloyd left Hamilton's group to play with alto saxophonist Cannonball Adderley. During this period he recorded two albums as a leader for Columbia Records; his sidemen were other young musicians including Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams. Through 1966-1968 Lloyd led a quartet with pianist Keith Jarrett, bassist Cecil McBee (afterwards, Ron McClure), and drummer Jack DeJohnette, that producer George Avakian signed to a contract with Atlantic Records. The quartet's music was an interesting fusion of straight-ahead post-bop, free jazz, and soul jazz. The group's music quickly caught on with both jazz fans and critics. Somewhat surprisingly, they also achieved a fair amount of crossover success with young rock fans and became the first jazz group to play in The Fillmore. The album Forest Flower became a big commercial hit, largely on the strength of the title track. Other noteworthy albums include Dream Weaver and Love-In.In 1968, after the quartet's demise, Lloyd entered a state of semi-retirement. Despite recording several albums during the 1970s and occasionally appearing as a sideman, he practically disappeared from the jazz scene. During the 1970s Lloyd played extensively with The Beach Boys both on their studio recordings and as a member of their touring band. In the late 1970s Lloyd was a member of Celebration, a band composed of members of the Beach Boys' touring band as well as fellow Transcendental Meditation followers Mike Love and Al Jardine. Celebration released two albums.Upon being approached by pianist Michel Petrucciani in the early 1980s, he resumed playing actively. From 1989, Lloyd toured actively and recorded for the ECM label. Although his playing had not changed much stylistically since his groundbreaking work in the 1960s, these recordings showcased his sensitivity as a ballad player. Noteworthy albums include Canto, Voice in the Night, The Water Is Wide (featuring Brad Mehldau, John Abercrombie, Larry Grenadier and Billy Higgins) and Lift Every Voice (featuring Geri Allen).

Jeffrey Foskett

jeffrey foskettJeffrey Foskett is a guitarist and singer best known for his work with Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys.[1]Foskett originally came from San Jose, California, where in the early-70's his first band was a surf group named "Cherry", after the Willow Glen area street on which he lived. He attended Willow Glen High School and is listed as one of the high school's "notable alumni". Cherry played mostly surf music covers in the same market as Papa Doo Run Run aka Papa Do Run Da Run, whom Foskett would join forces with decades later. In the late seventies, Foskett formed two renowned bands; The "Reverie Rhythm Rockers" (aka: "Reverie") and "The Pranks" in Santa Barbara, California, gigging throughout the area with fellow area bands like "D. B. Cooper" (Foskett appears on that band's 1979 Warner Brothers debut album Buy American, singing background vocals). Although Jeff's two bands consisted of the same members: mostly Jeffrey Foskett, Randell Kirsch and Bo Fox (with Robby Scharf sitting in), Reverie performed all 1960's cover music whereas The Pranks played only original music written by Foskett and Kirsch. They held a house residency at The Troubadore Nightclub in Hollywood every Monday night performing with such other 1970's notable bands as The Mentors, The Cretones, The Police, 20/20, The Beat, The Pop. The Pencils and The Rickys to name a very few. Other notable members of Jeff's two bands included: Art "Crying" Battson, Fred "Crying" Meckauer, Jim "Savage" Shaffer, Carter Morgan, Dr. Tim, Philip Claypool, Dave (Younque) Humes, Sneak Van Der Snake and The Very Cool Randy J. In search of the elusive record deal The Pranks continued to perform into the early 1980s.In late 1979, Mike Love stopped by the famous Santa Barbara restaurant "1129" where Reverie was the house band. Love came in and listened to Foskett and company and hired Reverie as the original incarnation of The Endless Summer Beach Band. The ESBB toured with Love throughout 1980 into 1981 when Jeff replaced Carl Wilson who briefly left the Beach Boys to pursue a solo career. While Carl Wilson toured to promote his first solo album. Foskett filled the void with his guitar work and falsetto vocals in The Beach Boys. When Carl permanently returned to the Beach Boys in May 1982, he asked Foskett to stay, which Foskett did and toured with the group for a decade until July 4, 1990, after which Jeff left for his own solo career. To date, Foskett has released over a dozen well received solo CDs including Thru My Window, touted as "The best Beach Boys album they never recorded", The Other Takes, Sunny's Off, Twelve and Twelve a 12 song collection featuring 12 string guitars and big name guest stars such as Marshall Crenshaw, Gerry Beckley from America (band), and Robert Lamm from Chicago (band) and a compilation CD of his original music Stars in the Sand. Throughout his solo career, Jeff has won several awards including Top Selling Artist of the Year in New Zealand, Best New Foreign Artist in Japan and he is a member of San Jose Rocks and The Silicon Valley Hall of Fame. Jeff, along with Brian Wilson, is one of a very few artists to have performed at both Live Aid (with The Beach Boys) and Live 8 (with Brian WIlson).Aside from the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson, Foskett has toured and recorded (and currently works) with many other luminaries in the music industry such as Paul McCartney, Heart, Roger McGuinn, Roy Orbison, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Ringo Starr, Chicago, The Moody Blues, The Everly Brothers, Christopher Cross and America to name a few. He has also been an occasional member of the surf-rock group Papa Doo Run Run since 1993 and continues to record his original music with New Surf, LTD label mate Jeff Larson, among others.Along with his many solo projects, Jeff is a huge supporter of The Carl Wilson Foundation ( www.carlwilsonfoundation.org ). Foskett mainly tours and records as Musical Director for Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson. Foskett appears as a guitarist / vocalist / (arranger) on all of Brian Wilson's solo material including the Grammy-winning 2004 version of Smile. He can be seen (and heard) on HEART's DVD Dreamboat Annie Live concert singing back ground vocals. He also produces other artists including Harry Shearer of Spinal Tap and Micky Dolenz of The Monkees. Jeff has earned over 40 Gold and Platinum Record awards and a Grammy.  from wikipedia

Phil Bardowell

Philip Bardowell was born in Kingston, Jamaica W.I., and raised in southern California, singer/songwriter Philip Bardowell was introduced to music at an early age when he began piano lessons at the age of five. His influences include: The Beatles, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, The Eagles, Queen, Earth Wind And Fire and Bob Marley.By the age of twelve, he taught himself how to play guitar and formed his first band. At age 20, Philip worked on the road backing the Surf music genre duo, Jan and Dean as their bassist and backup vocalist. Consequently, Mike Love of The Beach Boys, hired Philip to serve as lead guitarist and vocalist in his Endless Summer Beach Band. In 1993, Philip teamed up with Peter Criss and Ace Frehley of KISS fronting Peter's band "CRISS" as lead singer and rhythm guitarist. After serving this role for two years, Philip took an interest in Christianity and began attending Saddleback Church in Orange County, CA. He was asked to audition for the praise team (id est, worship band), and began serving regularly as a vocalist and musician. Bardowell reports that this led to his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. “I came to Christ by worshiping Him through song. He entered my heart through my praise and worship of Him and my life was changed forever.”Philip befriended Beach Boy, Carl Wilson, when Carl heard him sing at a birthday party for Beach Boy frontman, Mike Love. Carl called on Philip to sing his parts as a member of the Beach Boys touring band when he became stricken with cancer. After Carl's passing in 1998, Philip continued in his role as lead guitarist and vocalist for the Beach Boys until 2001 when he left the band to write and record his own music and pursue other endeavors.Philip's first solo album, "In A Perfect World…" was released later that year and was met with success and great reviews. It immediately got Philip's music noticed by the likes of radio personalities Mark and Brian of 95.5 KLOS in Los Angeles who invited Philip with his newly-formed band, Day After Rain, to play a one hour set live on-air as the winner of the Mark And Brian Best Unsigned Artist competition. Philip and his band's performance on that show prompted T.V. personality, Wayne Brady to call in and invite the band to appear on the Wayne Brady Show.Philip is also known for his role as lead vocalist in the Frontline Records Christian Rock band, MAGDALEN together with former House Of Lords members Chuck Wright, Lanny Cordola and Ken Mary. He has been a part of many albums in the Contemporary Christian genre appearing on albums for Maranatha Records, Promise Keepers and Reggae Worship volumes 1 and 2 for Frontline Records. In 2001, Philip began a path to full time ministry when he took a part-time position as worship leader at a local church at the prompting of the pastor who saw his potential and ability. This experience changed his life and Philip decided to pursue leading worship as a career.Currently, Philip is working on another record for Naples, Italy-based Frontiers Records, where he released his first solo album on the label, In The Cut, in 2005. His most recent work is collaboration with recording artist, Bruce Turgon (Foreigner, Shadowking). Philip continues to write and record music as he serves as worship leader at The Gate (www.thegateoc.com) church in Laguna Hills, Ca, where his brother, Habib, also an accomplished songwriter and worship leader, is the senior pastor. His latest release, Fall To Rise, is slated for release on July 1, 2007 on the independent label, Kingstown Music. from wikipedia

Tim Bonhomme*

I always wanted to be a guitar player ...    I used my brother's guitars to play in High School stage bands, but he told me to be a keyboard player because there are more opportunities. I started taking piano lessons because my Father, who was in real estate, sold a house in which the seller left a "beat up" piano in the basement and the buyer did not want the piano. So my Dad took the piano and moved it into our house. It was a  f******  wreck !, but that was the instrument I learned to play on.KEYBOARDS/ SYNTH :I always wanted to be a guitar player ...   so I attached a keyboard to a surfboard to become a "Mega Rock God !" Synth's are a pain in the *** and I'm glad that it's Mike Meros's  job !LIFESTYLE / HOBBIES / SPORT'S  ETC. :I always wanted to be a guitar player ...   so I could be the loudest guy on stage, but then I realized that guitar players are dumb so I got into a few other interests :Technical : Internet related programming. Fun Times : Bike riding and going to the beach with Tara and Brett.Sports : "Ballet" - Hockey is the fastest, hard hitting most disciplined team oriented sport in the world. It  is  truly " Ballet on ice. " Relaxation : Putting my roller blades on and skating around the world, like exploring New Dehli, India or Tiamamen Square, China.  taken from beach boys.net
